Bio of Dr. Pennell

  • Dr. Pennell opened his optometry practice, Family Eye Health Center, in 2005. He is licensed in the States of Kentucky and Ohio, has been in the field for more than 30 years, and has been in private practice for over 25 years in Northern Kentucky. 


  • He graduated from Ohio State University College of Optometry, where he was ranked in the top 10 of his class. Dr. Pennell is a proud member of the Kentucky Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association. 



  • Dr. Pennell is married and has two children. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors and enjoying nature.

Your First Visit to Our Practice

We want your experience with Family Eye Health Center to be positive from the start. Before your first appointment at our optometry practice, we kindly request that you fill out some forms, like a medical history questionnaire, before your arrival. This is to ensure that our experienced technicians can attend to you as quickly as possible and provide you with the best care. Please click on the links below to download each form. We try not to overbook patients, so you are seen promptly. However, eye care emergency visits that must be seen promptly may happen. This can sometimes cause minor delays, and we appreciate your understanding should this occur.
